		<description>I agree. I am a little older so probably out of it anyway, but it seems like there used to be, even five years ago, a lot more people into the music scene here. People used to talk about what bands they were seeing that weekend every Thursday or Friday...and there was that whole dance party scene that seems dunzo now, too. 

Actually, I would say the city in itself has just lost some momentum the last two years. I guess a world recession will do that. But there used to be new things opening all the time, so fast you couldn't keep up, and it's all slowed down.

Maybe that's somehow filtered down to the music scene.</description>

		<description>well written my friend. i just want to add that i believe we are seeing a different type of fan at music venues these days b/c of the price of tickets. many of the people i see are not really all that interested in celebrating the music as an experiece, but rather they are there becuase it was a way to spend their money, or impress their date. In order to get music enthusiasts back to the show, the price of tickets needs to get back to a range where it doesn't take an act of congress to see a show.</description>
